The more senior the role, the more likely it will be filled by an executive recruiter. Search consultants are used to filling more than 90% of C-Suite and Board level positions globally, with the vast majority of those roles filled in a confidential manner. If you aren’t approached by the recruiter, you won’t hear about the search. If the recruiter doesn’t know about you, you won’t hear from the recruiter.
You may be a CEO seeking a Board role. You may be a senior executive looking for your next step up the ladder. You may not be actively looking, but simply wanting to ensure that you are “on the radar” when the right opportunity does arrive. Whatever your circumstances, you should consider joining executives from more than 100 countries in creating a confidential profile on GatedTalent.
Why should I register?
Because most senior level positions are not advertised. They are filled either by an in-house executive search team or a third-party search firm, working on an exclusive basis. If you don’t know the firm. and they can’t find you, you won’t be considered.

What if I’m not actively looking?
Most of our members are not. Most successful executives are not. However, that does not mean that they don’t want to be found if the ideal opportunity arises. Joining GatedTalent keeps you on the radar and open to new possibilities.
How is this site different to LinkedIn or Xing?
LinkedIn and Xing are both examples of social websites. They are public platforms where everything you do can be seen by your colleagues, your staff, your shareholders. That’s why, according to a recent survey, only 38% of Fortune 100 CEOs have records on LinkedIn.* GatedTalent is a completely different model. Fundamentally, it is not a social network, nor does it operate like one. Our default settings will hide your name and contact details – and you have the option to mask other information that might identify you – such as your company or your title.

Which recruiters use the platform?
GatedTalent is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dillistone Group Plc. The group works with over 1,600 executive recruiting firms along with in-house teams at major organizations – including Fortune 100, FTSE 100 and Private Equity firms along with not for profit organizations.
How will recruiters find me if my information is masked?
We’ve teamed up with a third party data company to enable us to build up a picture of you based on your employment history which you may then – optionally – mask your information (detailed explanations of masking are provided on the platform). Add a few more details and recruiters will have a fairly accurate picture of what you can offer – but still not know who you are!
How will recruiters contact me?
If a recruiter finds you on GatedTalent, he or she will contact you through the platform and make a connection request. If you accept, your information will be shared. If you refuse, it will not. You can remove a connection at any time.
I don’t have a CV / Resume. How can I register?
Most executives don’t have CVs. We don’t ask for one. We can import your LinkedIn or Xing profile, or the platform will help you build a profile manually if required.
Am I the right type of person for the platform?
GatedTalent is open to anyone. The reality is that our clients are typically working in positions with a salary in excess of $100,000. However, this will certainly vary by industry and territory. There is no minimum salary requirement.
What does it cost to register?
Nothing. Our recruiter clients want access to you and pay for the privilege. We do not charge executives!
